A young couple’s desert getaway that also welcomes guests.

They wanted a retreat from the city and a home that felt connected to the desert around it. Cholla Hills Home pairs the clean lines of a newer build with deliberate moments of bold color and thrifted character. The scope included a full kitchen update along with furniture, flooring, paint, and lighting throughout. Practical selections carry the everyday work of a rental, while secondhand pieces kept the project on budget. The result is a bright, restful home with just enough playfulness to echo the wacky and wonderful landscape outside.
