A vacation rental designed for a young couple who wanted a retreat from the city, a successful Airbnb, and a home that felt deeply connected to the surrounding desert landscape. With a very tight budget, we focused on simple changes to create a strong sense of atmosphere: warm color, comfortable furniture, and lighting that felt like candlelight. The goal was to make the home feel bright, calm, and easy, with enough character to echo the wacky landscape outside while still feeling like a restful retreat.
